Wednesday evening at 6:50pm the station was alerted to assist New Castle Station 26 Townsend with a farm machinery on fire at McKays Corner Road and Sawmill Road on the border of both districts. Engine 45-2 w/6, Deputy Chief Alex Carrow arrived to find Rescue/Engine 26 on scene with a line stretched on a tractor on fire in a field. The crew assisted with overhaul. Brush 45 w/3, Assistant Chief Jeff Lightcap also made the response but was cleared as they were going on scene. Deputy Chief Leanord Wallace fro Townsend had the command.
