BOTH ENGINES AND LADDER GO TO HARTLY FOR CHRISTMAS NIGHT STRUCTURE FIRE

Christmas night at 6:41pm the station was dispatched for the ladder and engine to assist Harlty Station 51 of a residental trailer fire in the 3300 block of Downs Chapel Road.  A Clayton Firefighter that lives in the area responded to the scene and reported a singlewide trailer involved.  Quint 45 w/5 Firefighter Joe Jones and Engine 45-2 w/5, Assistant Chief Jeff Lightcap arrived to find Hartly units with several lines stretched on the fire.  Engine 45-3 w/4, Assistant Chief John Pridiemore also made the response.  Crews from the engines and ladder assisted with extinquishment and overhaul.  All Clayton units were on scene for about an hour.  Chief Steve Connors had the command.  Units responding; Engines 51-2, 51-3, 45-2, 45-3, QAC 6-4, Tanker 51 and QAC Tanker 6, Quint 45, QAC Quint 6, Rescue 51, Light & Air 51, B-51, KM6, FM-15 (Sipple).  Photo's courtesy Joe Jones, Ken Rife & Kevin Wilson.
