New Years Eve morning at 03:54 the station was alerted for the engine to assist Smyrna with a residental structure fire in the 300 block of Shorty Lane in the Smyrna Landing area of their first due. Engine 45-2 w/5, Captain Jack Davis arrvied to find Smyrna units with 2 lines in service on a one story dingle family dwelling with fire showing. The crew was was assigned the RIT until later being placed in service to assist with overhaul. Chief Hartnett from Smyrna had the command. The fire Marshals Office is investigating.
