ENGINE AND LADDER GO TO SMYRNA LANDING FOR WORKING HOUSE FIRE

Friday morning December 6 at 07:04am the station was dispatched for the Ladder and Engine to assist Station 44 on the working house fire 85 King Street in the Smyrna Landing Development.  Quint 45 w/4, Past Chief Robert Davis and Engine 45-2 w/5, Past Chief Rodney Whalen made the response.  Units arrived to find a one story single family residence with smoke showing from the attic area.  The crew from Quint 45 placed a backup line in service.  Crews from both trucks assisted with fire attack and overhaul.  Captain Chip Thompson from Station 44 had the command.  While units were committed on the house fire Engine 45-3 w/4, Captain Jonathan Burnett and Rescue 45 w/4, Past Chief Wes Davis responded along with the cover up engine from Cheswold, that was at Staion 44, and Tanker 53 to a gas leak in a residence at 125 E Clarendon Dr. in the Ashland Development.  That call was quickly put under control.  Photo's courtesy Joe Jones and Jerry Hull.  Units on the house fire:  Engines 44-2, 44-3, 45-2, SQD 53, Ladder 44, Quint 45, Tanker 53, A64, KM6, FM15 (Sipple), FM13 (Schad).
