The members of the Clayton Fire Co. are joining the Delaware Fire Service in mourning the passing of Delaware Fire service Icon Edward MIchael Rush jr. Mr. Rush was a Past President, Deputy Chief Emeritus and Life Member of the Wilmington Manor Fire Co. a Life Member of the Christiana Fire Co. and honoery members of several fire companies up and down the State of Delaware including an Honorary Life Membership in the Citizens Hose Co of Smyrna and the Clayton Fire Company MIke was an instructor at the Delaware State Fire School, Past President of the Delaware Fire Chiefs and held several othe rpositions and served on numerious committee's around the region. MIke served his country as a United States Marine serving in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. He was also the receiptent of the 2013 DVFA Fireman of the Year Award. We ask that you please keep the Rush Family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. No arraingements have been completed at this time.
Services: Viewing Wednesday November 4, 2020 1600 - 1900 hours at the St. Margaret of Scotland Catholic Church located at 2431 Fraizer Rd. Newark, DE. The funeral will be Thursday November 5, 2020 beginning at 1100 hours at the same church. Internment will follow a the St. Rose of Lime Cemetery, 301 Locke Street, Chesapeake City, MD. Mask are required for all in attendance.
