Tuesday evening at 22:09 the station along with Ladder & Engine 44 and Rescue & Engine 43 were dispatched for the residential structure fire in the 1800 block of Bryn Zion Road east of Kenton. Command 45 w/ Deputy Chief Alex Carrow arrived to find a 2 story single family dwelling with an active fire in the chimney. Engine 45-3 w/5, Assistant Chief Robbie Johnson and Ladder 44 w/ Lt. Long arrived together. The engine took the front of the resident and their crew stretched the line while the Ladder from 44 took the rear. Both crews went to work checking the residence for extension and laddering the residence. Additional units; Quint 45 w/6, Chief Wes Davis, Engines 45-4 w/6, Lt. Jack Davis, 44-3 w/ Capt. Eric Neeld, Rescue 45 w/6, Capt. Craig Snyder and Rescue 43 arrived and were given various assignments by command. Units operated for about an hour. Deputy Chief Carrow had the BRyn Zion Road Command. Clayton had 36 members respond on the call.
