VEHICLE STRIKES TREE SENDS 2 TO LOCAL TRAUMA CENTER

Friday morning just before lunch at 10:58am the station along with Ambulance 64, KM6, Km5 and Trooper 4 were dispatched for the auto accident with a subject reported trapped in the 900 block of Hillyard Rd.  Command 45 w/ Chief Carrow and Rescue 45 w/6, Lt. Craig Snyder were on the street in under 3 minutes followed closely by Engine 45-4 w/7, Firefighter Dave Ross and Brush 45 w/4, Crew Leader Jack Davis.  While enroute units were advised there was a firefighter on scene reporting no entrapment.  Crews arrived along with EMS units to find a single vehicle into a tree with both occupants injured.  The rescue crew went to work stabilizing the vehicle while EMS crews began patient care.  Both occupants were transport to Bay Health Medical in Dover one of them with half of KM6 on board.  Chief Carrow had the Hillyard Road Command.  Clayton had 32 members respond on the call.  Units responding; Command 45, Rescue 45, Engine 45-4, Brush 45, A&B 64, KM6, Km5, Trooper 4, Sta 45 Fire Police, CPD and DSP.
