COMPANY HOLDS ANNUAL APPRECIATION BANQUET AND AWARDS PROGRAM

The company held its annual Appreciation banquet and Awards Program on Saturday December 17th.  The event was also attended by local and state leaders, our ladies auxiliary and mutual aid companies.  During the awards portion of the program the company honored several individuals for dedicated service during 2017.  The Steven Turner Memorial Award for Junior Firefighter of the Year was awarded to Dakota Correll.  This was the second year that Dakota was awarded this award.  Dakota excelled as a junior member again this year.  The Robert E. Berghorn Memorial Award for Firefighter of the Year was awarded to Craig Snyder.  Craig set himself apart from the other members and was always one of the first people to volunteer when things needed to be done around the firehouse.  The William R. Carrow Memorial Award for Fireman of the Year was Awarded to Cheryl Hurlock & Denys Demczak.  Both Cheryl and Denys have always been a constant around the firehouse this past year.  The final award was a new award presented for the first time this year.  The Turner/Hurlock Excellence in Training was awarded to Jonathan Burnett.  The award is named after Life Member Jamie Turner and Past Chief Jeff Hurlock who have be extremely influential in our past and current training programs.  Congratulations to all of this years  winners.
