Recently the company was dealt a little set back when one of our engines developed mechanical issues and had to be placed out of service. With the likelihood that the engine would be out of service for about 3 weeks and only having one other engine in service to protect the area the company contacted the Dover Fire Department about the possibility of being able to use one of their engines. In the true brotherhood of the fire service the brothers and sisters were glad to allow us to use one of their engines while our truck is being repaired. The use of the engine ensures that we can continue to provide the level of service to the citizens of Clayton and surrounding areas. While we use Dover's Engine 46-7 it will be known as Engine 45-5. The officers and members of the company would like to thank Chief Carey and the Dover Fire Department for their help.
