MULTI RESIDENTAL STRUCTURE FIRE

Sunday evening at 9:32pm Station 45 and Ladder Company 44 were dispatched for the townhouse fire in the 100 block of Preston Ln in the Winds of Wheatley's Pond. With a crew if the station Command 45 w/Captain Alex Carrow and Engine 45-4 w/5, Firefighter Austin Moorhead were in the street in an minute, Station 44 who had just responded to an assist to NCC and had a additional crew in their station for Engine 44-4 w/Lt. Brian Ferguson was also on the street at the same time. Command 45 arrived to find a 3 story middle of the row townhouse and established command with 45-3 arriving and secured the water supply and stretched the line. Quint 45 w/5, Capt. Ray Johnson and 44-4 arrived behind 45-3 both crews threw ladders while the remainder assisted the interior crew with investigation a burning odor on the 2nd floor. Ladder 44 w/ Capt Eric Neeld was cancelled from the first call and made the response. Engine 45-5 (46-7) w/6, Captain Wes Davis and Rescue 45 w/8, Past Chief Jeff Lightcap also made the response and staged when they arrived on scene. Crews isolated the odor to a ceiling fan on the second floor. Captain Carrow had the Preston Lane Command. Clayton had 36 members respond on the call.
