Wednesday evening August 2nd the company held a special company meeting for the purpose of purchasing a new engine to replace the 1998 Spartan/Ferarra Engine. A presentation was made by the apparatus replacement committee. The presentation was for a 2018 Pierce Enforcer Pumper with the following; Enforcer 70" - 6 man cab, 1000 gallons of water, 1500 GPM Hale single stage pump, Pre-piped deck gun, 24', 14' & 10' ladders, NY Style low hose bed, 1000' of 4" supply line, 500' of 3" supply line dead laid with Blitz Fire portable monitor, pre-connects of 200' of 1.75" on the front bumper, 2 - 200' of 1.75" mattydales, 200' of 1.75", 300' of 1.75" and 200' of 2" off rear of truck and a booster reel. The proposal was unanimously passed by the company. The truck will be purchased through Atlantic Emergency Solutions. Delivery is expected around February of 2018. On Sunday August 6 representatives from the company and Atlantic Emergency Solutions signed the contract for the new engine.
