On Tuesday evening August 30th members of the new truck committee met with the salesperson from Pierce to review the specs of the new engine. This is just one of several meetings that have been going on and will go on until the engine is delivered sometime in February 2018. In this meeting the committee takes the bid document all 84 pages and goes through it to ensure that what we want is what we get in the new engine. Only a few minor changes were added or corrected at this meeting. The committee designed the cab of the truck placing switches in the proper locations as well as the placement of the communications radio. Prior to the truck going on the build line a final meeting will be held to sign off the specs. More to come!
