CONGRATULATIONS TO THE THREE TIME DELAWARE HIGH SCHOOL DIVISION I FOOTBALL CHAMPIONS SMYRNA HIGH SCHOOL .

This past Saturday the company along with the Citizens Hose Co. of Smyrna, Smyrna & Clayton PD and numerous others helped send the Smyrna High School Football off to their third straight appearance in the State of Delaware Division I Football Championship.  That morning Engines 45-3 and 44-3 helper send the team off to the game and then that evening welcomed them home from their big win.  During the game the Eagles took on Middletown High School for the second year in a row.  In the end the Eagles came out on top by a score of 30-27 making them only the third team in state history to win the championship game three years in a row.   Also a huge congratulations to Senior Running Back Will Knight for adding to record breaking of the Leading Rusher in State of Delaware History.  In the game Knight gained 231 yards and had 4 touchdowns and threw for another.  He ended his high school career with almost 6500 yards.  The Clayton Fire Company would like to congratulate Coach Mike Judy, his coaches and the entire Smyrna High family on their championship.  Photo's courtesy Jerry Hull and Alex Carrow
