The company joined the Citizens Hose Company and the Felton Fire Company in paying respect to Firefighter Eugene "Gene" Tucker who was buried today after passing away on December the 6th from a long illness. Gene was a Life Member of the Citizens Hose Company of Smyrna, a member of the Felton Fire Company, a former member of the American Legion Ambulance in Smyrna. Gene also continued his service to the community professionally as a dispatcher with the Smyrna Police Dept., the Harrington Police Dept and retired after 25 years from the Kent County Levy Court as a 911 Dispatcher. The local Fire/EMS/Police came out to honor Gene's service to the community. Our company took part in his viewing and then his funeral assisting with the crossed ladders display.
