ENGINE, LADDER AND RESCUE GO TO HARTLY FOR NON DWELLING STRUCTURE FIRE

Late Thursday evening at 9:34pm the station was dispatched as part of the first alarm assignment for a Non-Dwelling Structure Fire in 2000 Blk Downs Chapel Road.  Rescue 45 w/6, Captain Jonathan Burnett, Quint 45 w/5 Past Chief Jeff Hurlock and Engine 45-2 w/6, Assistant Chief Jeff Lightcap arrived to find Hartly units on scene with a couple lines stretched on a 20'x40' storage building that was involved.  Crews assisted with overhaul until released by command.  Chief Steve Connors from Hartly had the command.  The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office is investigating.  While units were committed on the fire in Hartly the station had a crew for the other engine available.  Units responding;  Engines 51-2, 45-2, QAC 6-4, Tankers 51 & QAC6, Quint 45, Rescue 51, L&A 51, B-51, B-64, KM6, FM12 (Bullock).  Photo's courtesy Jerry Hull.
