DEPUTY CHIEF ALEX CARROW AWARDED FIRST EVER DVFA YOUNG LEADERSHIP AWARD AT STATE CONFERENCE

During the Opening Ceremony  of the Delaware Volunteer Firefighters Association Annual Conference Deputy Chief Alex Carrow was named the receiptent of the first ever Young Leadership Award for the DVFA.  The award that was created this year is to recognize a young leader in the fire service for the State of Delaware that is under 35 years old and has taken up a leadership role in their company, county and state.  Deputy Chief Carrow was accompied by members from the company and his family as he recieved this award. 

Deputy Chief Carrow was also recently recognized and awarded a scholarship through the International Association of Fire Chiefs Foundation.  Chief Carrow is working towards his Associates Degree in Fire Science.   You can visit http://www.iafvf.org/scholarship-winners-2018.htm  for information on his award.  Congratulations Chief Carrow.
