During the November monthly meeting of the Clayton Fire Company Past Chief and Past President William R. (Skip) Carrow II presented to the company a plaque from the USMC Toys for Tots program. The plaque was presented for the years of participation the fire cmpany has had in the program, growing to one of the largest contributors in Kent County. For many years the company hosted a flag football game with the price of admission being a toy to the program. Now the company has boxes at the Clayton Fire Company Tree Lot and will accept toys at the Breakfast wtih Santa the first Sunday in December.
