Saturday at 12:42pm the station along with tanker and engine Station 26 and Station 44, tanker Station 2, Ambulance 64 and KM5 were dispatched for the Large Non-Dwelling Structure fire at 195 Black Stallion Rd. Engine 45-2 w/5, Captain Jack Davis arrived to find a 30' x 300' chicken house with smoke showing. The crew from 45-2 established a water supply and stretched a line. They were followed by Command 45 w/Chief Wes Davis, Quint 45 w/4, Assistant Chief Jeff Lightcap, Engine 45-3 w/3, Deputy Chief Alex Carrow, Tanker and Engine 26 & 44 and Tanker 2, Two lines were stretched and crews were able to make a quick knockdown on the fire. Damage was minor to the structure. Chief Davis had the Command. The Fire is being investigated by the Delaware State Fire Marshals Office.
