Santa Claus will once again make his annual trip to the Clayton area with a few changes this year. If you have lived in Clayton for anytime you know that for years Santa has always made his trip around the town of Clayton on Christmas Eve. This arrangement has taken place for about the last 50 years. Because of the growth of the town, withing the last several years and and the added manpower it took to accomplish the whole town in one night a decission was made to split the area up and have Santa visit the kids of Clayton on two night on Decmeber 23rd and 24th. Beginning this year and going forward on December 23rd Santa will start his trip at 5pm sharp and visit the following area in this order; Jockey Hollow Development (where the kids can see Santa at the corner of Country Hollow Drive and Stirrup Road), Gunters Run Development, Old Country Farms Development, The Winds of Wheatley's Pond Development, Pheasant Point Development, Providence Crossing Development, Huntington Mills Development and Wheatleys Pond Road west of the railroad crossing.
On Christmas Eve December 24th starting at 5pm Santa will be visiting the following area's; the old part of Clayton, The Village of Wheatley's Pond Development, Longwood Lane Development, Town and Country Development, Clayton Courts Mobile Home Community, Dennisons Trailer Park and Wheatleys Pond Road east of the railroad tracks.
The Officers and Members of the Clayton Fire Company appologize for any inconvenience this change may cause anyone. We have made every attempt to notify the people of Clayton ahead of time with mailing a flyer in the town utility bills, to the use of social media. We appreciate your understand and look forward to seeing the smiles on the kids faces when Santa visits.
