ENGINE AND CREW PAY HONOR TO DECEASED FDNY AND KENTLAND MD FIREFIGHTER

Monday morning Engine 45-2 with a crew of 4 along with the American Legion Ambulance paid honor to FDNY and Kentland Md Firefighter Christopher Slutman who was killed along with 2 other marines by a roadside bomb on April 9, 2019 in Afghanistan.  His body was returned to DAFB and was transported on Monday to New York for his services.  Firefighter Slutman was a decorated Firefighter with Ladder 27 in the Bronx.  He was also a volunteer member of the Kentland Fire Company in PG County in Maryland.  Firefighter Slutman was married with 3 children in lived in Newark Delaware.  Firefighters from Delaware and New Jrsey lined overpasses along the way to pay respect to Firefighter Slutman.  Photo courtesy Jerry Hull/
