BUILDING FIRE SMYRNA HIGH SCHOOL

Monday morning at 10:55 Station 45, Tanker 53, Ambulances 64 and 43 and KM6 were dispatched along with Station 44 for the building fire at Smyrna High School 500 Duck Creek Parkway.  Quint 45 w/4, Chief Alex Carrow and Engine 45-3 w/5, Crew Leader Dakota Correll made the response.  Responding units were advised Smyrna PD was the rp reporting an active fire in one of the bathrooms.  Smyrna and Clayton units arrived to find smoke on the first floor and the fire had been extinquished by Smyrna PD.  Units worked to check the wing for smoke and removed same.  The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office responded and are investigationg along with Smyrna PD.  Smyrna Chief Dean Johnson (44-15) had the command.  Units responding; Engines 44-4,44-3, 45-3, Ladder 44, Quint 45, B-64, B-43, KM6, FM-13 Schad, FM-15 Sipple, Smyrna PD.  Photo's courtesy Jerry Hull.
