LADDER AND ENGINE GO TO SMYRNA FOR HOUSE FIRE

Tuesday morning just before lunch at 11:30am the station along with Tanker 53, Ambulance 64 and KM6 were dispatched to assist Station 44 on the house fire 90 Lawndale Dr. south Smyrna.  Quint 45 w/4, Past Chief Robert Davis and Engine 45-2 w/5 Assistant Chief Joe Jones arrived to find Smyrna units with a line stretched and in service on a one story single family dwelling with smoke showing.  The crew from Quint 45 went to work opening up for the engine companies while the crew from 45-2 stretched a second line.  Crews made quick work of the fire while the searches were negative.  The State Fire Marshals Office is investigating.  Assistant Chief Daniels (44-16) had the Smyrna Command.  Photo's courtesy Gene Shaner.  Units responding:  Engines 44-2, 44-3, 45-2, Ladder 44, Quint 45, Rescue 44, Tanker 53, B-64, KM 6, FM-15 (Sipple), FM-28 (Brode), Sta 44 & 45 Fire Police.
