Wednesday afternoon November 18 at 12:47 Clayton for a Ladder & Engine and Smyrna for a Tanker & Engine were dispatched to assist Townsend on the residental trailer fire at 407 Country Dr. in the Frederick Lodge Trailer Park. Odessa was also alerted for the Ladder and Engine. Townsend Chief Ray Clarke arrived ahead of fire units and reported a singlewide trailer involved. Quint 45 w/4, Chief Alex Carrow arrived to find Engine 26 with a line in service. The crew from Quint 45 handled the primary search and opened up for the interior crews. Engine 45 w/5, Past Chief Rodney Whalen arrived and assisted with fire attack and overhaul. Both units remained on scen for over an hour. Townsend Chief Ray Clarke had the Command. The destroyed the trailer and is under the investigation of the Delaware State Fire Marshals Office. Pictures courtesy of Joe Jones.
