Sunday morning December 13th at 04:01 the station was alerted to assist Station 44 Smyrna on a working house fire in the 300 Blk of West Commerce St. Quint 45 w/5, Lt. Brian Hunter, Engine 45 w/5, Assistant Chief Joe Jones and Squad 45 w/5, Deputy Chief John Pridemore arrived to fins Smyrna units with 2 lines in service with heavy fire on the 3rd, venting out on the Bravo Side. The crews from Quint 45 and Engine 45 went to the 3rd to relieve Smyrna units while the crew from the Squad threw ground ladders and went to the roof. The fire was brought under control in under an hour with crews remaining on scene for sometime to overhaul and check for extension. There was one civilian transported to the Smyrna/Clayton ER for evaluation. The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office is investigating. Captain Mike O'Neal had the command.
