The Clayton Fire Company trains every other Monday and other times throughout the year. On Monday night January 18th the fire company conducted hose advancing evolutions as well as the throwing of ground ladders on a fire scene. The senerios were run as an actual fire with search and rescue, hose advancement, and ground ladders. The training focus on our newer members getting them more reps, while teams were conducting the drills others were working on other tasks. Chief Pridemore stated " You need to train like you are fighting a real fire, the more you train the better you get". The Company was using a house in Clayton owned by one of its members to train on making the seriors even more life like. Cadet member Alexis Steele said " I really like the drills, but going to the thrid floor using those narrow steps I did not like".
