Friday afternoon at 5:15pm the station was alerted for the field fire at Black Stallion Rd and Clayton Delaney Rd. Kent County Md Deputy Chief 3 Scott Duhamell who was passing through the area reported the fire. Command 45 w/Deputy Chief Jeff Lightcap, Brush 45 w/4, Firefighter James Demczak and Squad 45 w/4, Past Chief Rodney Whalen made the response. While enroute Chief Lightcap requested additional resources from NCC Sta 26 responded. Units arrived to find a little over an acre of field on fire. Crews used lines off Brush 45 and Squad 45 to extinquish the fire. Deputy Chief Jeff Lightcap had the Clayton Command.
