ENGINE AND LADDER GO TO ODESSA FOR HOUSE FIRE

On Saturday May 8th the station was dispatched for the Engine and Ladder to assist Odessa Fire Company with the residental structure fire in the 300 block of High St in Historic Odessa   Quint 45 w/6, Assistant Chief Austin Moorhead and Engine 45 w/4, Deputy Chief Jeff Lightcap arrived to find MOT units with several lines in service on a 3 story SFD with heavy fire on the 2nd and 3rd floor and fire through the roof.  The crew from Quint 45 was assigned to the Charlie Side and later made entry to the Charlie side to work on fire attack and open up.  The fire was extinquished using the ladder pipes from Tower 4 and Tower 12.  Engine 45 supplied Tanker 29 from a hydrant.  Crews operated for over an hour to bring the fire under control.  Odessa was assisted by crews from MIddletown, Townsend, Port Penn, Christiana and Clayton along with several EMS units.  Clayton units operated for over 3 hours.  Photo's courtesy Odessa Fire Co na Christiana Fire Co's Facebook pages.
