Friday evening after just returning from the structure fire the station was dispatched to assist Station 44 with an MVC with a subject reported trapped at Dupont Parkway at the on ramp to Route 1 Northbound.. Rescue 45 w/7, Captain Alex Carrow quickly hit the street and arrived to find 44-9, Engine 44-4 and EMS units on scene with an accident involving a car and a Tractor Trailer. The crew from Rescue 45 joined the crew from 44-4 assisting with extrication. The priority 1 patient was extricated in about 15 minutes and transported to Bayhealth Medical in Dover. The operator of the Tractor Trailer was unhurt. Rescue 44 and Brush 44-0 also responded. Lt Brian Ferguson had the Smyrna Command..
