Wednesday afternoon June 30th at 13:07 Clayton along with Engine, Ladder and Tanker Sta 44, Engine and Ladder Sta 43, Engine and Tanker 51, Ambulance 64 and KM6 were dispatched for the residental structure fire at 88 W Commerce St in the Town of Kenton. Units arrived to find a 2 story single family residence with a small fire under the porch caused by the mulch catching on fire. Engine 45 secured a water source and stretched the line to finish extinquishing the fire. Deputy Chief Jeff Lightcap had the Clayton Command.
