Wednesday morning December 15 at 08:23 the station along with Tanker and Engine 51 were alerted for the residental structure fire at 1984 Blackistons Church Road. Command 45 w/Captain Alex Carrow, Engine 45 w/4, Past Chief Hurlock, Quint 45 w/4, Firefighter Frank Sacco IV, Squad 45 w/4, Deputy Chief Jeff Lightcap and Rescue 45 w/2, Past Chief Rodney Whalen quickly hit the street. Responding units were advised the caller reported the house filling with smoke. Engine 45 arrived reporting a doublewide manufactured home with smoke showing. The box was dispatched for a working alarm adding Tanker and Engine KCMD Sta 2, Ladder and Engine 43, Tanker and Engine 44 and EMS assets. The crew from E-45 establishment a water supply and stretched the handline. Quint 45 handled the searches and opened up for the engine companies. Squard 45 secured the water supply to E-45 and stretched the backup line. Tanker 51 supplied Squad 45 and the crew assited interior crews. Engine 26 was dispatched for the cover assignment to Sta 45 but was requested to the scene. Tanker 2, Engine 44-4, E-26 and Tower 43 staged and the manpower went to the scene to assit. The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office is investigating and the Red Cross was requested to respnd to assist the family. NCC Enine 27-5 covered Sta 45. Captain Alex Carrow had the Clayton Command.
