Firday morning about 50 company members took part in the dignified transfer of Fire Chief John M. Pridemore from the Medical Examinors Office in Wilmington to Faries Funeral Home in Smyrna. From the beginning of the escort Fire Departments from across the state took part in honoring Chief Pridemore. In New Castle County every overpass was manned by fire companies paying tribute to the chief. Once the escort exited Rt1 in North Smyrna Rt13 was linned with Fire Departments from Kent and Sussex Counties along with an outpouring from the community. The Officers and Members of the Clayton Fire Company would like to thank all those that took part in honoring and paying tribute to Chief Pridemore on his final ride home. God Bless you all!
