Once again this year the company remembers our fallen brothers and sisters during the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend that is celebrated on October 8th & 9th. In years past the company has placed a wreath on the memorial in front of the station to remember our brothers and sisters that paid the ultimate sacrafice. Each year members of the nations fire service gather at the National Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmittsburg Md. to honor those members who died in the line of duty from the previous year and years before that. In years past we especially remembered those members of the Delaware Fire Service who died in the line of duty especially H. Thomas Tucker a member of our neighboring fire department the Citizens Hose Co. of Smyrna who Died in the line of duty in 1982. This year is even more meaningful considering the event of March 8th of this year. Chief Pridemore will be honored at next years memorial service in May of 2023. We ask that you take a few moments to pray for our deceased brothers and sister.
