Saturday morning at 4am Clayton along with other 1st alarm companies from Smyrna, MIddletown, Townsend and Port Penn were alerted to assist Odessa Vol. Fire Co. for the structure fire at 635 Corbit Dr. just outside Odessa. Units arrived to find 3 - two story single family homes involved. The fire quickly went to 3 alarms bringing additional resources to the scene. Tower 45 w/4 and Engine 45 w/6 made the response. Crews had problems controling the fire due to the amount of fire that involved all three structures on their arrival along with the wind. All 3 homes were a complete loss. The Delaware State Fire Marshals Office is investigating. Companies responding; Odessa, Middletown, Townsend, Port Penn, Delaware City, Christiana, Clayton, Smyrna, Cheswold, Ceciltown Md and several EMS units from NCC.
