Monday morning at 11:28am the station was alerted for the trash truck on fire in the Massey Mill development off Mt. Friendship Rd, Command 45 w/Lt. Conrad, Engine 45 w/5 and Squad 45 w/4 made the response. Engine 44-4 who was clearing an earlier MVC on Big Oak Rd. also responded. Crews arrived to find a trash truck that was on fire in the process of dumping its load onto the street. The crews from Engine 45 and 44-4 placed 2 lines in service while Engine 45's driver secured a water supply from a nearby hydrant. The fire was quickly knocked down and crews spent another hour overhauling the trash fire. Lt. Tim Conrad had the Clayton Command. The scene was later turned over to the trash company for cleanup.
