Saturday evening at 5:58pm the station along with Rescue 44, Ambulance 64, Ambulance 43, KM6 and Trooper 4 were dispatched for the auto accident with a subject reported trapped. Millington Md. Chief Charlie Boyles, who was in the area on dispatch, was first on the scene and confirmed the report. Command 45 w/Chief Moorhead, Rescue 45 w/6, Firefighter James Demczak, Squad 45 w/6 Past Chief Whalen, Rescue 44 and EMS assets arrived and went to work stabilizing the vehicle and performing a roof flap. The driver was extricated in about 20 minutes and turned over to EMS for patient care. The driver was airlifted to a local trauma center in Wilmington by Trooper 4. The driver of the second vehicle refused medical treatment. Chief Moorhead had the Clayton Command.
