Thursday evening at 5:54pm the station was alerted to assist EMS with establishing a landing zone for Trooper 4 to medivac and injured crossing country runner behind the Providence Creek Academy. Rescue 45 w/4 and Command 45 w/Deputy Chief Lightcap arrived to find BLS/ALS that were on scene with an inuried runner in a secluded wooded area behind the school. It was decided to request the EMS Gator from the station to respond to transport the patient from the wooded area to the landing zone in front of the school campus.
