Saturday afternoon October 28th Life Member Donnie Ogden paid a visit to the firehouse and while there his was presented his certificate from the DVFA for his 50 years of service to the community by Vice President/Past Chief Rodney Whalen. Donnie who joined the department as a junior member in the early 70's and became a Life Member after 15 years of active service. One of the highlights of Donnie's service besides serving the people of Clayton was his part in coaching the fire companies softball team in the 90's and 2000's. Several of those teams went on to win 1st Place in the Annual Seaford Firemans Softball Tournament. The company would like to congratulate and thank Donnie for his 50 years of service.
