At 0710 hours on Januany 24, 2024, Clayton was alerted to assist Smyrna with a gas leak on Worthington Blvd in the Worthington Development. Engine 45 W/4, Squad 45 W/4, and Command 45 W/ Deputy Chief Carrow responded to assist. Engine 45 arrived first on the scene with Smyrna Command until the arrival of Command 45 . It was reported the smell of gas on the third floor of a townhome. The residents of the home were standing by in a vehicle. Chesapeak Utilities was on scene and shut the gas off to the home. The home was ventilated and turned over to Chesapeake Utilities.
