Saturday afternoon at 5:32pm the station along with Ladder & Engine 44 and Tanker & Engine KCMD 2 were alerted for the house fire in the 1500 block of Holletts Corner Rd. Responding units were advised the caller reported their kitchen was on fire but possibly extinquished. Engine 45 arrived and found a one story SFD with nothing evident from the exterior. The crew from Engine 45 stretched the handline. Tanker KCMD arrived right behind the engine and supplied the engine if needed. Tower 45 had the 1st due special while Ladder 44 had the 2nd due special. Engines KCMD 2, 44-3 and Sguad 45 staged upon their arrival. Crews found a fire that had been on the stove but was knocked down by the homeowner with several dry chemical extinquishers. The crews checked for extension which none was found.
