“Training is the key to a successful outcome of any fire operation” stated Clayton Fire Chief Austin Moorhead during the second structural fire fighting session held in 2024. Clayton trains as a company several times a year in structural fire fighting as well as sending individual members to fire school to update their skills. On April 9, 2024, 20 members were at the state fire school conducting fire extinguishment skill as well as search and rescue skill in the residential sided of the fire training building. In addition, drivers worked together to discuss pumps and pumping operations in different situations.
