Each year on the first Monday of October the Clayton Fire Company host their annual fire prevention open house at the station. The company opens it's doors to the community to visit the station to view fire trucks from other companies, displays of organizations from the community and state, and gives the community an opportunity to meet its members. "It is one of the most anticipated events all year" stated Deputy Fire Chief Alex Carrow, "our members really look forward to this event". This years event played host to the Clayton Police Department, the Delaware State Police, the Delaware State Fire School, the Delaware State Fire Marshals Office, the Delaware Sprinkler Coalition, The Delaware Department of Agriculture, DelDOT, Delaware Department of Insurance, Kent County Paramedics, Kent County Department of Public Safety Command Post, Chesapeake Utilities, and mutual aid companies from Kent and NCC County. Thank you to all who was a part of this yearly event.
