Friday was a busy day for the volunteers at Clayton.  The day started with the Duty Officer handling a automatic fire alarm in the 600 block of Coldwater Dr. in the Providence Crossing Development at 04:19am.  Just prior to lunch AT 11:36am Tower 45, Squad 45, Rescue 45 and Command 45 responded to the 1800 block of Van Dyke Greenspring Rd. to assist the Citizens Hose Co. with a fire in a detached garage.  Units arrived to find a trash fire at the rear of the garage that had extended into the garage.  Crews made quick work of of the fire with minor damage to the structure.  Later that afternoon at 4:49pm the station along with mutual aid from the Citizens Hose Co., Cheswold Fire Co., and the Townsend Fire Co. responded to a reported house fire in the 200 block of Christiana River Dr. again in the Providence Crosiing development.  Crews arrived quickly and were able to locate the issue and place the scene under control.
