On June 5, 2025 Past President/Past Chief Rodney Whalen from the Clayton Fire Co. and Past President/Past Chief Brooks Keen from Citizens' Hose Fire Company of Smyrna attended the Smyrna High School Scholarship award Ceremony at SHS. This years John M. Pridemore Scholarship in the amount of $3000.00 was awarded to Gabriella Lamborn of Clayton. The award is in Memory of Past Chief John M. Pridemore who died in the line of duty in 2022 and is co-sponsored by both fire companies.  John's Wife Kim was also in attendance at the award ceremony.  Gabriella is the daughter of Danielle Hurlock and Granddaughter to Theresa and Jay Hurlock. All members of Clayton Fire Company and Clayton fire Co. Ladies Aux.  Gabriella plans on going to Del Tech and studying Business Management.
