Just after lunch at 12:24 the station was dispatched to assist Station 44 on the residential structure fire in the 5600 block of Dupont Parkway. Quint 45 w/4 Captain Alex Carrow and Engine 45-3 w/6, Chief Carrow arrived to find Station 44 units with 2 lines in service on a 2 story single family residence with heavy fire on the second floor. The crew from the quint vented the roof while the crew from 45-3 did the primary search and assisted with ground ladders. Crews made quick work of the fire. Townsend Fire Company and the Hartly Fire Company ambulance also assisted on the fire. The fire did extensive damage to the second floor and water damage to the first floor. Lt. Tyler Torres had the 44 Command. Hartly Fire Co. Engine 51-3 covered Station 45 during the call. While the Ladder and Engine were assisting on the house fire. Rescue 45 w/5, Assistant Chief John Pridemore along with Rescue 44 responded to a Fatal Motor Vehicle Accident person struck on Rt1 @ Paddock Rd. Lt. Robbie Daniels had the Rt. 1 Command.
