NEW ENGINE PLACED IN SERVICE

On Saturday April 14 after several weeks of having equipment installed and members training the new engine was placed in service at 12 noon.  The new engine is a 2018 Pierce Enforcer Pumper with a Hale 1500 gpm single stage pump, 1000 gallons of water, 6 man cab.  The engine carries the following 1100' of 4" supply line, 500' of 3" supply line, the following;  200' of 2" pre-connect attack line, 200' of  1 3/4" pre-connected front bumper line, 200' of 1 3/4" pre-connected Mattydale, two -  200' of- 1 3/4" pre-connected off the rear and a 250' of 1 3/4" pre-connect off the rear .  The engine carries a Hurst Spreader and O Cutter with a Hurst Gas Power Unit, RIT equipment, EMS equipment including an AED, a RAMFAN battery powered PPV and battery powered portable lights, an Akron Mercury Portable Monitor, Thermal Camera, Gas Meter, Quick Vent Saw and assorted Engine Company Tools.  The unit will be first to respond on in district structure fires and will support the ladder and Rescue were they are due.  The engine will be known as Engine 45-2. .
