During the annual service awards Chief Alex Carrow recognized several groups of memebrs for their part during recent extrications that the company was dispatched to. The award was presented to members for their part in the extrication. The four incidents were as follows with the names of the members who took part in the extrication;
Oak Hill School Road and Slter Road.
Clayton Delaney Road and Alley Mill Road
XXXX Wheatleys Pond Road
Assist Station 44 Route 1 NB at Woodland Beach Road. On Saturday February 23rd at 4:50pm the station was dispatched for the Resce to Assist Station 44 on a two vehicle auto accident with 4 subjects trapped on Route 1 Nb at Woodland Beach Road. Rescue 45's crew consisted of Driver James R. Johnson, Officer - Assistant Chief Robert J. Lightcap and a crew of Captain Austin Moorhead, FF Amber Johnson, FF James Demczak, FF Brian Hunter, Past Chief Robert J. Davis arrived behind Smyrna engine and immediate went to work assisting on extricating the four patients. The crew from Rescue 45 using all the extrication equipment caried on the rescue was able to help complete extrication of all memberswithin XX minutes. One patient from the vehicle passed away several days later while the other having serious injuries lived.
