Tuesday morning at 9:09am the station along with Tanker and Engine KCMD Sta 2, Engine 44 and Engine 26 were dispatched for the Large Non-Dwelling Building fire at 41 Chicken House Lane. Respponding units were advised the caller was reporting their manure barn on fire. Command 45 w/Assistant Chief Joe Jones arrived to find a 100'x75' barn with smoke showing and located a fire on the exterior wall of the building.. The chief was followed closely by Engine 45-2 w/4, Captain Jonathan Burnett and Quint 45 w/6, Past Chief Jeff Hurlock. The engine arrived stretched an attack line while the crew from the ladder stretched a second line and checked for extension into the building. Engine 45-3 w/5, Past Chief Wes Davis, Tanker 2, Engine 2 and Engine 44-3 and Engine 26 arrived behind the first units. Station 2 units supplied 45-2 while their manpower assisted with overhaul.
