Delaware Volunteer Firefighter’s Association Press Release
August 10, 2020: During the last several days our office has received a calls about telephone solicitations. Theses solicitations are not from the Delaware Volunteer Fire Service. The Delaware Volunteer Fire Service does not use phone solicitations! While some come in from 302 area codes and some use 800 numbers they are, most likely, not from Delaware. The Attorney General’s Office has been notified. The public should be aware and verify with the Attorney General’s Office Fraud Division the validity of the caller. DO NOT make a commitment for payment without verifying with the Fraud Division. Again, the Delaware Volunteer Fire Service does not solicit over the phone.
