Thursday afternoon at 12:25pm the station was dispatched for the working house fire in the 100 block of Thomas Landing Road. Quint 45 w/4, Captain Alex Carrow arrived to find Odessa, MIddletown, Townsend and Port Penn units on scene with a single family dwelling with heavy fire from the garage area. Crews placed several lines in service and were able to contain the majority of the fire to the garage area. Crews worked for several hours in extreme heat to extinquish and overhaul the dwelling. The fire is under the investigation of the Delaware State Fire Marshals Office. Companies from Odessa, Middletown, Townsend, Port Penn, Clayton, Smyrna and Delaware City. Quint 45 was back in quarters in 2 hours.
