Junior Member Aiden Conrad the son of Beth and Tim Conrad was the winner of the Steven Turner Memorial Award presented to the top Junior Member for the year. Aiden who comes from a fire service family, his mom is an EMT and EMS Supervisor for Christiana Care and his dad is the career staff supervisor for the Camden Wyoming Fire Company, his sister Amber is a director with the Clayton Fire Company and his brother-in-law is the Chief of Clayton. The award is named after Clayton Firefighter Steven Turner a member who died of cancer in 1972. During 2025 Aiden has responded to 181 fires, 12 fund raisers, 19 drills, and 12 company meetings, he has also accumulated 101 misc. points for a total of 360 points for the year. Aiden was presented with the award by Chief Austin Moorhead, below you can read his speech:
Tonight, we are proud to recognize an individual whose dedication, courage, and service truly represent the best of the Clayton Fire Company. It is an honor to present this award to a member who cares so much about this firehouse.
This member has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty. Whether responding to emergencies, supporting the missions of this firehouse, or serving our community with professionalism and compassion, he leads by example. His commitment to training, teamwork, and public safety has made a lasting impact on this department and the people we serve.
This award is not just a reflection of hard work—it’s a reflection of character. His reliability, selflessness, and pride in the Clayton Fire Company embody what it means to be a member.
